Hitec’s HS-45HB offers the economy and durability of their other famous micro servos, but now with a ball bearing supported output shaft and Karbonite gears.

  • Ideal for .20 - .60 class aircraft and all EP and GP .30-.50 class helicopters
  • Karbonite gear train that is four times stronger than standard plastic gears
  • Three pole motor and single ball bearing output shaft

Are these servos recommended for gas planes?Can they take the vibration? What servo would you suggest for a 1/4 scale

They are OK with gas. The manufacturer states this: Applications: Heli's and Aircraft up to 72” or up to 12lbs when using just one servo per control surface. Note: Be aware that high vibration gas (not glow) engines combined with large control surfaces and large throws (3D models) can put undue strain on the gears. Metal geared servos are recommended for these applications even if under 12lbs. Warning: Do not use thread lockers on Karbonite geared servo as it will cause the output shaft to fail.
